The What Matters workflow is supported by a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) that outlines the expected standards for practice and recording when using the workflow.

The SOP provides you with:

• Clarity of what good practice looks like when using the workflow through practice principles that promote accountability and person - centred practice.
• Detailed information about each form within the workflow for clarity about when forms are used, when they are not used and who is most likely to use them.
• Practical scenarios of how forms are used in different situations.
   

The SOP is a useful tool in supporting people who are new to Adult Social Care to familiarise themselves with the What Matters workflow and it helps maintain good practice across operational services.
